International cooperation

The e3building idea had its beginnings in 1999 as an initiative of the Austrian Institute for Applied Ecology. At the first e3building event 25 experts from the building sector and real estate met to discuss e3building issues. Since then e3building has grown to become a network with more than 80 participants who meet regularly at workshops and work together to realize projects.
e3building is working to transfer this successful cooperation model from Austria to interested partners in other countries. In developing the organizational and structural solutions appropriate to their own country, international e3building partners are responsible for coordination and for information transfer from e3building in Austria.
